Overview

Journey with Nawal is a wellness brand in Muscat, Oman, founded by Nawal Al Bulushi. It runs women's retreats in nature, sound healing sessions, cacao ceremonies and corporate wellbeing programmes.

I designed and built the whole site at journeysom.com: the public website in English and Arabic, Google sign-in, booking and registration for experiences, and the admin side that manages them.

The challenge

A wellness brand sells a feeling before it sells a booking. The site had to feel calm and considered, show Oman's landscapes, and still make booking a retreat or workshop effortless.

It also had to work equally well for English and Arabic speakers, which is essential for an Omani audience, and give returning guests one place to manage their registrations.

How it fits together

The site is a Next.js application serving English and Arabic from the same pages. Guests sign in with Google to book and manage registrations, and the admin side manages the offering.

Key workflows

The processes the system runs, step by step. Amber steps are checks or gates; green steps are the outcome.

Booking an experience

A guest discovers a retreat, sound session or ceremony, signs in once with Google so their details are saved, and books. Every registration then lives in one place in their account.
